By Valerie D. Davis, RHIA

Professional Dynamic Network’s President and CEO, Gerri Smothers, is pleased to introduce Henry Preston Washington as Executive Director, National Business Development. Mr. Washington assumed this role in May, 2011, and is responsible for securing and developing new business acquisition, an area which is expected to contribute to the growth and sustainability of PDN’s consulting and staffing business. He will also be responsible for introducing PDN’s Centralized Remote Coding Lab as a solution to coding demands nationally.

Washington joins PDN after serving as President and General Manager for WMCII, LLC, where he managed the day-to-day operations of the consulting firm. Mr. Washington’s responsibilities included identifying and selecting business partners and negotiating complex agency and brokerage agreements. Washington’s primary responsibility was growing revenue for the business partners through acquisition of new clients or the expansion of existing client relationships.

A veteran healthcare executive, Henry holds multiple business and technical certifications and has 25 years of application development experience in multiple roles with increasing responsibilities across multiple technology platforms.

“I am looking forward to helping the organization move forward in these challenging yet exciting times,” said Washington. “My goal is to support the mission, vision, and value statements of Professional Dynamic Network while continuing to grow the national recognition of the business.”

Henry P. Washington holds an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago and a B.S. in Computer Science from Chicago State University. He has received numerous awards and appointments—including South Suburban Man of the Year; Strathmore’s Who’s Who; Bank One Leadership Award; U.S. Senate Advisory Committee; International Who’s Who in Professional management; Matteson Zoning Board Commissioner; and Chicago Chamber of Commerce Youth Motivation Merit Achievement Award.
